Wholesale & Retail
Creating Real Market Opportunities for Entrepreneurs
At Koperasi Usahawan Graduan Perak Berhad (COGRAD), our journey began in agriculture—but our mission has never been about farming alone. Today, COGRAD proudly stands as a dynamic cooperative that also drives significant growth through its wholesale and retail (Pemborongan dan Peruncitan) activities. We believe that when a cooperative becomes a trusted trade partner, it becomes an engine of opportunity—not only for its members but for the communities it serves.
COGRAD’s foray into the wholesale and retail sector is guided by a single, powerful principle: products made by our people should be sold by our people, for our people. In other words, we aim to shorten the gap between local producers and consumers by enabling better access to markets, physical and digital retail spaces, as well as bulk trading opportunities.
Unlike conventional business models that focus only on profit, COGRAD’s approach to wholesale and retail is rooted in community empowerment, fair pricing, and brand elevation. We believe in building not just a customer base, but a cooperative economy that uplifts everyone involved.

Strengthening the Cooperative Economy Through Wholesale Initiatives
Our wholesale initiatives are strategically developed to help our members scale their products. Whether it's food and beverages, health supplements, packaged agricultural goods, or artisanal products, we aggregate these items under one cooperative umbrella and present them in a more structured, scalable way. This means our members no longer operate in isolation. They become part of a larger, more powerful distribution network that allows for bulk selling, consistent branding, and coordinated logistics.
Through these wholesale channels, COGRAD has opened doors for its members to participate in entrepreneur expos, business showcases, and various government-initiated markets. Our wholesale operations allow members to cater to other cooperatives, retailers, institutions, and even government bodies—while maintaining competitive pricing and high quality control.
One of our proudest moments was the “Jualan Rahmah” Program held in Kuala Kangsar—a community-driven initiative aligned with the Malaysian government’s Rahmah campaign. This one-day event saw us managing a booth that offered discounted food and beverage items under the government scheme. We were overwhelmed and inspired by the response. Thousands of people visited our booth, proving that when a cooperative brings affordable, trusted products to the people, the people respond. It wasn’t just a sales event—it was a celebration of community, accessibility, and shared progress.
This success demonstrated that COGRAD is capable of executing high-impact, public-facing wholesale programs that serve both economic and social goals. It also confirmed what we’ve always believed: that cooperative-led commerce can be just as competitive, relevant, and meaningful as any corporate initiative.

Expanding Local Visibility Through Retail Platforms
In addition to wholesale, COGRAD also operates in the retail space through its physical cooperative store, which acts as a showcase, marketplace, and business platform for our members’ products. This store is more than just a retail outlet—it’s a real-world proof of concept that cooperative members can produce high-quality goods that deserve shelf space, customer attention, and long-term market potential.
Through this store, we create visibility for brands that may otherwise go unnoticed. Products are displayed professionally, priced fairly, and promoted with heart. Most importantly, we listen to feedback from real customers—allowing members to adapt their offerings based on actual demand and preferences. This feedback loop is what transforms small producers into sustainable entrepreneurs.
Our store also plays a critical branding role. Customers who visit the outlet don’t just see products—they see what COGRAD stands for: local empowerment, cooperative trust, and ethical trading. The retail experience becomes part of a broader storytelling journey, turning every purchase into a vote for local growth and cooperative values.
Moving Forward: Beyond Sales, Toward a Cooperative Future
What sets COGRAD apart in the wholesale and retail space is not just what we sell—but how we sell. We focus on relationship-building, not just transactions. We want our members to grow in confidence, our customers to return because they believe in our values, and our brand to become synonymous with cooperative professionalism and reliability.
We do not believe in temporary success. Instead, we are committed to building a long-term, inclusive trade ecosystem that uplifts entrepreneurs, families, and communities across Perak and beyond. By integrating professional management with grassroots participation, we ensure that each program we run—be it a Jualan Murah event, a trade fair, or a new retail product launch—adds measurable value to the ecosystem.
As we continue to expand our pemborongan dan peruncitan operations, we invite more members, partners, and communities to take part in this journey. Whether you are a supplier, a buyer, or simply a supporter of cooperative values, there is a role for you in our trade network.
